CFU are sorry to hear that redevelopment of the Abbey is on hold at the moment.
We all know the NRE and the Habbin are well past their “sell by” date, and CFU were looking forward to being involved (along with the Shadow Board) to ensure that all supporters’ needs would be met in the new stands.
There will always be disagreements on where money should be spent, and in an ideal world there would be adequate funds for player recruitment, infrastructure and redevelopment.
With the current financial situation, careful budgeting is required, and difficult decisions have to be made.
CFU do not want to see the club in financial difficulties and go the way of many clubs like Bury etc or into administration as CUFC has in the past.
CFU thank Paul and Mark for their support of our club, and hope that suitable investment will be made soon to allow the Abbey to be improved.
