The following are some of the jobs completed during the past week at the Abbey. It was a good week on the pitch and a good one off it around the ground
We needed to get the ground tidied following one match and ready again in time for the two matches played during the week - the first against the Manchester United Under 15's and the second against Macclesfield.
The frame being made by Jack for a lighting rig is now built and is awaiting the painting & electrics to be done. It will help to provide heat for assisting grass to grow more quickly and strongly.
A new fire/smoke panel was required after the existing one became faulty and unrepairable
Les has now completed painting the bottom sections of the floodlights and will move onto third next week weather permitting
The area outside of the Main Stand toilets was also painted and tidied up
Mick and Paul cleared all the drain pots around the ground in time for the autumn and winter weather. Ths will prevent flooding around the ground
