It has been reported that Cambridge is Britain's driest city. However, the past weeks have seen snow, rain and more rain and then a little more rain. It certainly seems a long time since the days of summer. See the link for the news story. Click here It may be raining all week, but Cambridge has been officially named Britain's driest city
We have had home matches against Wycombe, Crawley & Coventry for example this season when the rain has done nothing but pour down upon us all. Sometimes it seems planned to commence around about or just before kick off.
When your working and trying to plan work around the stadium so much is dependent on the weather. It is really hard to get work on the pitch done, painting finished off and is uncomfortable clearing the rubbish after matches.
Some supporters have asked about the pot holes in Cut Throat Lane. I think they must have been filled probably half a dozen or mor times this season. However, each time the chippings get washed away by the heavy rain and you are back to square one. The heavier the rain the more damage is done to the path.
Below are some photos of the repaired track last Friday afternoon
