We have absolutely taken on board all the Government advice relating to the Coronavirus outbreak and as a result are working inside the stadium with limited staffing levels. All staff have been working with precautionary measures to stop the spread of the virus at front of mind. However, there are things that we can do to be proactive to be ready for when we hope football will return to the Abbey.
I have been very fortunate as the Stadium Manager to have such a loyal group of contractors who respond to our needs at very short notice and always deliver a first class service and more importantly at no financial outlay to the football club and within the current restrictions we have placed upon staff within the stadium.
We have also been very busy improving the hand washing facilities within the stadium with increased soap dispensers and dryers being installed that have all been paid for by the Cambridge United Lottery and again we thank everybody within the lottery committee for authorising the work.
As a club we continue to work hard to ensure that when we get the green light to start playing matches again we will have everything in place to welcome the supporters back in to the Abbey Stadium.
