Pitch Work Continues on Thursday 19th March

Mick starts the aeration program to help relieve surface compaction and improve root development

Goal mouths are raked out to remove and loose divots ready for the start of a renovation next week.

Pitch perimeter is weed killed to remove the meadow grass that has self germinated from the surrounding areas as this is can contaminate the playing surface and quickly become the dominant species. meadow grass (Poa) removal is one of the reasons the top surface of a playing surface is removed annually.
