With the weekend coming and possibly waiting until next Monday when the decision might be too late. It was decided we would cover the pitch today to lower any risk of the ground freezing.

Work began with Mick moving the covers around the ground and from there each one was unroled. It takes two roles to cover the width of the pitch. The covers are held down by pegs.
Thank you to everyone who helped. Alongside Mick and Ian was the apprentice groundsman, Robert Osbourn, Colin Proctor. We were also helped by Graham Gillings who is now a steward but was previously a groundsman during Geoffrey Proctor time as Chairman.
