Being invited to become a Cambridge United director was a proud moment for Christoph Loch.
The German academic was already a board member of Cambridge United Community Trust, having wished for Cambridge Judge Business School, of which he is dean, to get more involved in the local community.
But after forging a strong relationship with United chairman Dave Doggett and chief executive Jez George, he was asked to bring his business expertise to the table.
"This is a club that had a crisis a few years ago, only got back into the League two years ago, but I think they have a very exciting leadership team now and some ambitious plans, which I applaud," said Loch.
