Cambridge United fan Simon Dobbin able to speak for the first time since brutal attack in Southend
Cambridge United fan Simon Dobbin who was viciously attacked in Southend has spoken his first words since the incident, his family has said.
The father and grandfather, from Mildenhall, who is now in a rehabilitation centre in Norwich, is said to have been able to speak to his family for the first time in five months this week.
Emily Dobbin, Simon's daughter, shared the news on her Facebook page. It was then shared on a Cambridge United fan forum and a group for fans on Facebook.
