With the difficult times we find ourselves in the future of all football clubs is precarious, to say the least.

There is no better time to help support your club and give them a chance of getting through the current situation.

The least expensive way of doing this is to join the Cambridge United Lottery. For only £2 per week you have the chance of winning two cash prizes, a weekly prize of £300 and the Jackpot which which accumulates each week if not won. Currently the Jackpot is £1,200. Help your club and maybe yourself, a win win result.

CFU Update - Petition

To keep members and supporters informed

Two weeks ago CFU put forward the following as a Goverment Petition. It was hoped that we would be able to circulate this to the wider football supporter base and footballing community for support. Unfortunately, we have not had a reply apart from the initial one requesting a number of supporters.

The EFL, Premier Leaague and PFA are holding talks and will hopefully find solution.

We will review when these complete and possibly use a different platform to create the petionif required with current wording remainng or in another form. The wording does probably now require update as events changed during the following week and in the days since

Urge highly paid footballers to support struggling clubs
Cambridge Fans United calls on the government to urge all footballers earning more than £10k a week to donate one week's monies into a fund that will help Clubs in the lower leagues deal with some of the cash flow issues they are facing as a result of Covid 19 and which threaten their survival.
Whilst the football authorities, such as the FA, Premier League and EFL have provided some support to lower league clubs, it will not be sufficient to prevent some clubs, possibly many clubs, from going out of business. This will entail redundancies, not simply for players, but for all staff. It will devastate local communities and end the vital community support which all local clubs provide. Highly paid footballers can easily afford to donate a week's wages and, if all were encouraged to do so, it would make a terrific difference and help to keep football healthy.
