The tables were purchased by the CUFC Lottery last summer and were badly damaged when blown over.
There was a discussion that they were beyond repair and would need to be scrapped.
Fortunately, we have Mick Radford helping us around the ground as a volunteer. He does not come to matches however I have known him for nearly 40 years. He helps us on a couple of mornings each week. Mick used to work as a maintenance man at one of the colleges before he retired. His knowledge and skills really make him invaluable to us. Even if he does think I am a bodger.
Luckily he was able to take each of the tables all apart and rebuild them. This saved us nearly 200 pounds to replace them.
