The goalmouths where frozen harder in some places than other parts of the pitch. In particular around the six yard box and out to the penalty spot. The South Stand was worse than the Corona End due to being in constant shade.
It was decided to use the picnic tables from around the ground bought during the summer by the CUFC lottery and situated behind the Habbin Stand and in the Abbey Arms.
Underneath some small heaters were place for a period of time and used to create much needed warmth.
The tarpaulins kept the snow off when it began falling. They were held down using concrete blocks
Today we had to hang them over the advertising boards to ensure they dry out and do not rot or go mouldy. See photos below
Some of the sheets are getting quite old/damaged and will need to be replaced at some point in the near future
