Cambridge United defender Mickey Demetriou wants to keep learning during loan spell from Shrewsbury

Mickey Demetriou is relishing the chance to continue his footballing development during his six-month loan spell at Cambridge United.
The left-back arrived from Shrewsbury a couple of hours before Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie against Dagenham & Redbridge, which the U's lost 2-0, and was thrust straight into the action at the Abbey.
Demetriou's impressive debut was the highlight of a disappointing evening for United, and the defender is looking forward to taking further strides in his career under Richard Money's guidance, having not featured in Shrews' boss Mickey Mellon's plans so far this term.
