I would just like to thank the committee for allowing me to stand as interim FED
Its been an enjoyable experience and I have taken on board many ideas and solutions from within the boardroom and of course from CFU.
I must give enormous thanks for the generous help my committee have given me and especially DMJ whom I have talked to nearly every day since stepping up to the plate.
I might just embarrass our chairman now, by stating that I don't think we all appreciate the time, work and lengths this guy and his family put in for the sake of CUFC, I applaud that help. His knowledge of CU is unbounding and I am truly thankful for his back up.
Thanks also for the support from our talented committee for which I get valuable help from and of course our fan base whom I try to keep informed about club issues.
My remit being FED is looking after the stadium issues and meet quite regularly with Ian as I am at the ground on a daily bases and have been for the last few years. I strive to do all the mundane work with other free agents to keep ground issues and problems in check.
Ian has to run a very tight budget and only the really necessary problems get dealt with. I try to get as many jobs around the ground done for nothing by fans that are allied to trades necessary to fixing whats broken.
I attend SAG heath & safety meetings with Ian and no surprise that his professionalism comes to the fore in so many ways, we are so lucky to have him on board.
I would now like to offer my services as the next FED and will state that I will not fail you or CUFC.
I have a clear vision of where I would like our club to go as we venture forward into the 21st centaury
Hopefully that vision is to become a football trust run club, by people that know were we are going for the benefit of our supporters. After all, at the end of the day we are all fans no matter how much money we have.
I would like all of our fan base to step behind CFU and sign up to signal that you give us the remit to take our club forward in a stable position, without the in fighting that goes on within many clubs today.
Clubs where the fans have given there support to wealthy business men who then prove to have there own agendas as to how those clubs are run.
