Monday, up at 5 as usual each morning, make a pot of tea, then clear my messages and e/ms
Arrive at the ground around 8am, go see Ian to see if all is ok around the ground. Anything I can help with is mapped out for the week.
Get the Boardroom ready for the Meeting at 5pm, lay out the VPC( Ruston Room ) for there meeting at 7pm. Paint over any knocks and marks in the Harris Suite ready for the week ahead.
Go over the office, put the kettle on for the staff coming in and have a chat with Robert ( Smith, our General Manager/Accountant), map out the week ahead.
Make sure that the club shop has everything ready to replenish our Grafton Shop, ( usually two trips a day). Help with the sales and questions.
Help with the ticket sales and phone calls when needed, also questions from our passing fans that pop in.
Leave the club for home around 1 30pm.
Tue. Arrive at the ground 8am, clear out the Board room ready for any use that day, also same with the Ruston Room.
Saw Ian and the Habbin South Tea Bar needs gutting out and refurb to bring it up to standard, this the last tea bar to be done.
Two trips to the Grafton Shop, help with the sales, otherwise the mundane office work.
Left for home 130 pm
Wed. arrived at the ground 8 am, start strippimg out the S/H tea bar. Disconect water and electric. Take out all the old pipework and cables. Remove all the defunk fixed serving counters and shelving.
One trip to the Grafton, help with the sales, then back to the ground to help with anything that needs doing.
Leave for home 2pm
Thursday, went straight down to Magnet Trade to blag a 3mt length of work top to remodel the front office for better working practices. Arrive at the ground 8 15am, no time today to do any work in the tea bar. Cleared the Board room out ready for Wills Media call today, made sure the Ruston room was ok.
Saw Ian, putting things in place should it snow heavily tonight, helped Mick get the snow plough ready.
One trip to the Grafton, nearly sold out of all scaves, shirts and dvds, hope the weather holds out preventing people visiting the Grafton and for the match tomorrow.
Helped around the office, left for home 1 30pm.
Friday( tomorrow), arrive at the ground 8am. Set up the Board room for the Directors and visitors, same with the VPC. Have a meeting with Ian, should anything need doing.
Over to the office, helping get things organised for the evening match.
Obviously going to the Grafton with new stock for the weekend trade. Probably leave the ground around 3pm and get ready for the evening match. Arrive at the ground 5 45, get programmes for the board room and VPC, making sure all is ready.
6 15 visit the Supporters club, chat with the visiting fans and ours, visit the caravan which Dave M-J runs, answering any questions that I can. Head over to the Board room for 6 50 to welcome the visiting Directors and other guests, serving teas and coffee.
Its a great job, I enjoy every minute being around the club I love, who said 70 was to old to be the Fans Director, its easier than real work.
