Match Day Luck.
In the morning when I get up,
Have a drink of tea in my lucky cup.
Lucky clothes ready on the chair,
Even lucky underwear.
Lucky socks, lucky shirt,
Lucky jeans or lucky skirt?
Lucky trainers, boots or shoes?
The weather dictates which of these i choose.
Breakfast eaten, read the news,
See what they've written about the U's.
All dressed in my lucky clout,
Time to take my lucky dogs out.
Lucky birds flying in the sky,
I must see at least one magpie.
Some people must see 2 or 3,
But one is lucky enough for me.
Leave the house, get in lucky car.
All things going well so far.
From the mirror, hang lucky dice,
Lucky moose mascot sitting up nice.
Buy a lucky "G G" ticket,
Might even be lucky enough to win it.
Lucky place taken in the stand,
Lucky programme held in hand.
We've done it, We won two - nil!
That wasn't luck that was pure skill!
