Match Day Programme Preview

Take a sneak peek at the main feature article with U’s striker Barry Corr in tomorrow’s match day programme.

The Irishman has also signed 30 copies of the programme, which will be distributed to sellers around the ground randomly, meaning that all the Amber Army have to do is purchase a copy for just £3 for a chance to win.

Barry Corr - Sneak Preview:

With the U’s set to play on home soil three times over the next three weeks, the Irishman believes the fixture list has provided United with the opportunity to gain some momentum at a vital point in the campaign.

Corr said: “I do think we are reaching an important stage of the season and obviously with the new Manager coming in, he is going to want us to get up and running quickly. The first match was obviously a difficult game against Oxford, but I’m sure he’ll want to make the Abbey Stadium a fortress as soon as possible.

“He obviously has his own ideas for how we can progress and as a group we all need to support them. I think if we can give him our full backing then the results will be evident on the pitch.

“We want to make the Abbey a place where we know we can win games, which will form a great base for us. As a player naturally you want to win every game you play in, which is exactly what we’ll be looking to do.”

Meanwhile also in this week’s edition, Shaun Derry pens his first column as Cambridge United Manager. Articles with Chairman Dave Doggett and Chief Executive Jez George are also included.

Other features include an exciting announcement regarding the Cambridge United Community Trust School Sport Programme, 100 Years of Coconuts, Junior U’s, Half-time teasers, Player Q & A with Jeff Hughes and much more.
