
Dave Matthew-Jones hopes Cambridge United can strengthen their links with the community even further after joining the club's board as fans' director.
Matthew-Jones was voted in by Cambridge Fans United members last week to take the place of Colin Proctor, who had completed his six-year cycle in the role under the supporters' trust's rules.
"I feel really proud and it's good to have the support and backing of everyone who voted for me and I feel I've got a great opportunity," said Matthew-Jones, who has stood down as chairman of CFU after 11 years in the post.
