Cambridge United chief executive Jez George says loan window axe will hit clubs hard
Jez George believes the scrapping of the emergency loan window next season will have a huge effect on clubs such as Cambridge United.
The window opens again this week, but will soon be a thing of the past with the system of players in the Football League being allowed to go on temporary deals outside the regular transfer window being axed from 2016/17 to comply with Fifa regulations.
England is the only country where such a scheme operates, but United chief executive George felt it would have a detrimental effect on clubs in the lower reaches.
