Order Your Set Today Last Thursday (4th April) Players from the HOME GROWN XI SQUAD were meeting Fans and Cambridge Shoppers at The Grand Arcade Abley assisted by Claudine and Claire, the players were helping sell tickets and promoting the forthcoming Show-piece Centenary Match. West Hams Football Academy is much respected nationally and this game is expected to deliver a great feast of football as well as some special never to be repeated Centenary activities taking place on the night. Cambridge United are pleased to announce that we will be holding a Fans Forum in the Dublin Suite this coming Wednesday, 4 April. The evening will begin at 7pm for a 7.30pm start and will give fans the chance to put questions, footballing or otherwise, to board members including Dave Doggett and manager Jez George. The evening will include an update on preparations for the 2012/13 season which will feature a presentation by board members. The Club would also like to extend a special invitation to contributors to the Cambridge United unofficial forum and give them the opportunity to ask questions in person. Finally, the bar in the Dublin Suite will be open throughout the evening. We are delighted to announce that West Ham United will be sending a team of young players, many with first team experience, to The R Costings Abbey Stadium to play in a special fixture to mark the start of Cambridge United’s Centenary Celebrations against a side made up of our home-grown players. A new book is being published later this year as part of the Clubs Centenary Year Cellebrations The book is titled Cambridge United Football Club: 100 Years , 50 Memorable Matches. With over 40 photos and contributions from many famous players this is bound to be a very popular read and souvenier. The first 200 to place their order will be able to include a dedication in the book. The books are available to pre-order here in the CFU Shop.
