_ In today’s world every football club has to meet the business challenges it faces head on.  By recognising these challenges and changing effectively, football clubs can prevent the uncertainty and suffering currently being experienced at many clubs.

Cambridge United and CFU have joined together to ensure that similar events do not happen at the R Costings Abbey Stadium. We are working together to ensure a secure future.

Now is the time to be pro-active and not simply reactive. With everyone working together, we can enable the club’s short to medium term future to be secure.

The aim is to:
1.      Eliminate debt and start building a capital reserve.
2.      Run the club on realistic and affordable budgets in the future.

Football and society is changing. Cambridge United has to change with these times and build for the future. 

How can supporters help?
1.      Join CFU
- 100 new members will give the Trust £2,000 to invest in the club.
- 1000 members would provide £20,000 yearly
2.      Spend £1 extra every match.
For example:
- buy a 50/50 ticket,
- buy a car sticker.
- buy a programme at least once in three games
This could raise £22,000
3.      If you have spare time help by volunteering.
4.      Bring a friend or relation to one league match. This could raise £20,000
5.      Support and enjoy the Centenary Year

The Vice-Presidents Club are holding a Casino Night at the R Costings Abbey Stadium in the Dublin Suite on the evening of Saturday 18th February 2012. It starts at 19.30

A great evenings fun and entertainment is guarenteed and there will be a buffet and prizes during the evening which are included in the ticket.

The online museum to celebrate Cambridge United's One Hundredth anniversary in 2012 will be open for visitors from 3rd February at 20:00hrs

The museum would also like to hear from players and officials of the club who played their part in the clubs rich history to record their experiences and recollections.

_FOCU'sT (Friends of Cambridge United's Trust) are hosting another quiz night on Thursday 26 January 2012 in the Dublin Suite.

The evening opens at 7pm, with the quiz starting at 7.30pm. All money raised on the night will go directly to the Cambridge United Youth & Community Trust.

Entry is £5 per person with a maximum of six members per team, everyone is welcome. Don't worry if you want to come along but don't have a team - teams can be compiled with other supporters in the same boat.

To book your team in for the quiz please either come to the Ticket Office or email Claire on focust@live.co.uk, or telephone 01223 729203.

Come along, test your knowledge and raise money for a great cause.

Teams are welcome to bring their own food on the evening however the bar will be open for drinks.  You'll also be able to buy a curry and a pint* for only £6 on the night!

The month's quiz features a special guest host in STAR Radio's breakfast presenter Ryan Taylor.

There will be a raffle on the evening and a prize for the winning and losing teams! There will also be a leader board projected onto a big screen, kindly supplied by Currys/PCWorld Megastore, so teams can keep an eagle eye on their opponents' scores.
Rounds will be varied however each team will be sent a list of cryptic clues in order to attempt to work out the subject and which round to play their joker.

Will Dublin's Dubious Dube claim yet another quiz victory? Who will take the hotly contested wooden spoon position?
